Cremation

In the midst of grief over having lost a dear friend, one must decide what should happen next. It is always important to consider whether you want to collect the ashes of your pet or not. If separate cremation is chosen, a decision must also be made as to whether the urn should be buried or placed in a selected location.

Marking

Many animal owners ask the same questions when it comes to cremation:

Is it really the ashes of my pet i receive from you? The answer is YES, of course!

Most of the clinics with which we collaborate have adopted our scanning system. Each and every animal has its own barcode, which means that the pet can be followed all the way. This is an extra security which means that the owners can be completely sure that it is their animal that we return to them.

When it is time to say goodbye

It is hard to lose a pet. When the time has come to say goodbye, there will always be some decisions that cannot be avoided. At that time it may be good to know what is about to happen with your best friend.

Ethical ending

Cremation is an ethical and dignified ending after your friend has passed away. This is usually arranged via the animal clinic. Some people want to bring their pet to the crematorium themselves. This must be agreed in advance. The cremation takes 1 - 2 hours and you may take the ashes home in your chosen urn.

How to move on

A worthy ceremony can often help us deal with grief so we can move on. Some pet owners plant catnip or a rose bush, others put together a book of photos that create good memories in grief.

Individual cremation

Your pet is cremated separately from other animals and the ashes are returned in the urn chosen by you at the clinic. If you want a piece of jewelery with a small part of the ashes, you must choose whether or not you want the ashes back in an urn. It is guaranteed that the ashes are from your animal alone. You can choose whether you want the urn to be delivered at the clinic or sent directly to you per mail.

Collective cremation

You also have the option of choosing joint cremation. This means that your pet will be cremated together with other pets and you will therefore not receive the ashes in return. The ashes will be deposited at an approved reception.

Private cremation

You are welcome to come to us if you wish to accompany your faithful friend right up to the cremation. You make an appointment with our crematorium and receive the ashes in an urn with you back home. This takes approx. 1.5 – 2 hours.

Then you deliver your pet to our man at the crematorium and choose an urn. Please see our website for choosing an urn before you come to the crematorium. We have a waiting room where you can stay until the process is finished and you can take the urn home.

For a private cremation, you must fill in an order form, and one of our crematorium employees will contact you.

Inquiries through a veterinarian

We work with a number of clinics in Oslo, Viken, Vestfold/Telemark, Sørlandet, Vestlandet, Møre and Romsdal as well as Innlandet with fixed routes for picking up your pet. Here, a requisition is filled in where you choose the form of cremation and urn type if you choose to have the ashes returned. Thorough marking is carried out before the animal is delivered to us. For many, it feels good to accompany a beloved animal as far as possible on its final journey. Information beyond this, as well as prices, is available at your clinic.

Do you wish to give your best friend a worthy ending?

With us, you can be sure that your pet will be treated with respect and dignity.
